Check out the videos our members made during some of the events we participated in. If you go to an event with the club, you and your car could be in one of the future video's produced!
Members of "Texas Bowties" Car Club made there way to the San Antonio Raceway for a night of racing and fun. It was finally time to put the rubber to the road after six months of talk about who was the fastest and who could beat who. Almost a dozen members brought their cars and made passes down the track while another dozen members and family were there to witness the show-down between Mike and Pete, Kelly and John and also see how fast their favorite cars would go. Mike caught Pete asleep at the line for the easy victory in their long awaited show-down and a surprising number of member cars inched closer to Kelly's ET which fell a little short of last years number. Some highlights of the evening were Kelly grilling up sassage, Brenda making a couple passes down the track on her borrowed bike and Bobby making a couple respectable passes on small tires.
Best 1/4 ET and 1/4 MPH:
Kelly T. 1969 Camaro SS 12.55 @ 113 MPH

Michael M. 1972 Chevelle SS 13.34 @ 106 MPH
Ernie M. 1969 Camaro 13.55 @ 109 MPH

SASCA - May 2015
Members of the Texas Bowties made their way to the San Antonio Sports Car Association event out at the river City Community Church for a day of autocross racing. Participants got to the event early to register, prepare the cars and be present for the walk thru and required briefings. Trash talk and challenges could be heard from the day the event was first discussed between members of the club and it was soon apparent that this was the day the spectators were going to witness the match between David and Goliath. Who had the best car, who was the best driver and who was being fair and not crossing the line could be heard during the numerious conversations but conditions did not favor Goliath.
Class and Best Time:

SASCA - May 2015
Members of "Texas Bowties" Car Club made there way to San Antonio Sports Car Association (SASCA) AutoX Event. One of the Bowtie prospects Jason brought his first generation Camaro out to the event to compete against the competition. Jason made his way through the course five times during the 3rd heat, accelerating, squeeling tires through the corners and drifting through the finish line while improving his time with each successful run. Other members spent the day taking video, watching the races from the sideline and riding along in a car on the course. It was a fun day of road course racing and a change from the normal car show scene.

The Texas Mile - Oct 2014
Members of "Texas Bowties" Car Club made there way to The Texas Mile for a day of bar-b-que and watching mile long racing. Everyone meet up at Cracker Barrel for breakfast to get the day going and then headed south on IH37 for a scenice cruise to Beeville, Texas. Once we arrived, we made are way around the area to check out the cars in the staging area and watch motorcycles and cars race the one mile track and attempt to get into the 200+mph club of Texas. There was plenty of saggage, burgers, potatoe salad and chips to keep everybody from getting hungry and coolers of cold refreshments to keep everyone hydrated. Brenda rode the Vance & Forstall Hayabusa motorcyle to a 227.7 mph top speed which was fastest motorcycle of the weekend. After a long hot and fun filled day most members made their way back home while one stayed for another day of action.
San Antonio Raceway - Aug 2014
Members of "Texas Bowties" Car Club made there way to the San Antonio Raceway for a night of fun. Some members drove there classic cars to race, some drove their classic cars to watch the races and some just flat out drove their Minivan's. Bobby, Ed, Kelly, Pete and Ralph took their cars to the track for bragging rights and to see how they would run. Some members were too scared to drive there cars on the track, while one member (Michael) was still getting his car ready for the showdown later this year. Like Doc Holliday said to Johnny Ringo in the movie Tombstone "I'll be your Huckleberry". Kelly did not have much competition from within the group but someone in a Maroon Camaro called him out and put a hurt to his ego at the finish line. Some highlights of the evening were Kelly grilling up some tasty sausage, Michael working his magic with the GoPro's and Rudy working to keep Pete's car on the track.
